Steven Universe: The Movie is no exception, with original music produced by series mainstays aivi & surasshu and a host of new songs performed by the film’s cast, written by Rebecca Sugar in collaboration with Chance The Rapper, James Fauntleroy, Ted Leo, Mike Krol, and more.
The music of Steven Universe: The Movie made an incredible impact on the fandom and practically demanded a vinyl release to match its legacy. Originally issued in 12” vinyl in both standard and deluxe formats, the album quickly became a hard-to-find fan favorite.
Now, iam8bit is teaming up with WaterTower Music to reissue this incredible piece of animation history. Say hello to the Steven Universe: The Movie 4x10” Vinyl Set, a reformatted release of the motion picture soundtrack, tailor-made to mirror the Steven Universe 4x10” Vinyl Set.
In addition to reformatting the original 12” deluxe release to 10” discs on Spinel Black Ice, Grape, Milky Clear, and Ruby vinyl, we took the excellent album art from the first release and embellished it with additional embossments and foiling, crafted to match the shine of the series’ 10” vinyl release.
The result is a total reimagining of the original release, built from the ground-up to complement the series’ 10” set. It’s truly worth its weight in gems.
