Description
Prepare to enter the pixelated depths of the vehicular blood sport underbelly with The Noble Demon’s (Bloodborne PSX) pulse-pounding score.
“Before Nightmare Kart’s development, I was struggling to find my identity as a musician,” they shared. “However, this game’s strange blend of spookiness, humour, and energy really paved the way forward for the type of music I wanted to make from that point onward. (I have this project to blame for my current excessive use of Samplers, Breaks, Harpsichords, and Theremins).”
The Nightmare Kart soundtrack boasts an incredible blend of nostalgic tones that serve the throwback visuals and gameplay perfectly. But there’s something evolutionary in its craft — filled to the brim with complex flurries of staccato soundscapes and high-energy, uplifting motifs.
To perfectly complement the vinyl release, Nightmare Kart’s original digital cover artist, Corwyn Pritchard, developed original artwork that captures the essence of the ‘90s kart racer game case perfectly, drenched in a blood red hue.
“Seeing this soundtrack now committed to vinyl feels so significant to me,” The Noble Demon continues. “Not only does the game itself mean a lot to me, but it also feels like a dedication to my friends — the developers, musicians, and voice actors who made this possible to begin with.”
So start your engines. It’s hell on wheels out there, and the first race is just about to begin.
